AiQ Engineering Brand Identity + Materials
My client, a software and data engineering startup, was looking for someone to take their rough DIY materials and develop them into a professional identity for their business. I started with a consultation to learn about their business, service offerings, clients, and pain points. I learned the founders are a trio of young engineering graduates, and one of their concerns is being taken seriously due to their age. I also learned their client base is exceptionally diverse. With this information in mind, I set out to create a brand identity that shows professionalism, confidence, and general appeal to a broad audience.
The company’s name is a combination of the acronyms AI and IQ. I designed a clean, modern text-only logo, using color to show the combination of acronyms. The period at the end of the Q suggests finality — or in AiQ’s case, end-to-end solutions. The period extends to a line for additional applications of the logo. The line becomes a base for subtext stating the various service sectors the company plans to introduce. (See the brand board image for examples.)
Along with the updated logo, I completed a full brand identity with a color palette, fonts, and style inspiration to define the brand and materials designs going forward. The first deliverables I created in this new brand style were business cards for the team and templates for proposals and other documents.
